Resource Surveys in a Changing Landscape

Resource Surveys in a Changing Landscape

Resource surveys collect a wealth of information critical for use in stock assessment and fishery management.  Conducting surveys in the face of changing environmental and climate conditions as well as coastline and structural impediments can be challenging. Collection of environmental data can also be a challenge in terms of assessing what to currently collect for future applications. The scope of this symposium gives participants an opportunity to discuss the challenges and adaptations needed to support resources surveys, stock assessment, and management of fish stocks into the future.
